Oak Valley Hospital is a full-service, non-profit public hospital committed to delivering superior medical care to the residents of Oakdale and its surrounding rural communities. Established with the goal of ensuring local access to high-quality healthcare, our hospital has long stood as a trusted partner in the health and well-being of our region.

Our unwavering dedication to excellence drives every decision we make. Whether it’s investing in advanced medical technology, expanding our services, or prioritizing compassionate care, our focus remains the same: improving lives through accessible, patient-centered healthcare.

The roots of Oak Valley Hospital trace back to 1945, when the California legislature empowered voters to create special tax districts for the development of public, non-profit hospitals. Building on that momentum, the Oak Valley Hospital District was officially formed in 1968 by the voters of eastern Stanislaus County. This district was established to serve a wide area, including Oakdale, Knights Ferry, Valley Home, Waterford, Riverbank, and nearby rural communities.

Over the past four decades, Oak Valley Hospital has grown and evolved in step with the needs of those we serve. What began as a small inpatient facility has transformed into a comprehensive medical center offering a wide network of departments and services. From emergency care and surgical procedures to outpatient services, diagnostics, family medicine, and preventative care, we are proud to provide a broad spectrum of healthcare solutions close to home.

At Oak Valley Hospital, we’re not just caring for patients—we’re caring for neighbors, friends, and families. And we remain deeply committed to advancing health, healing, and hope in every generation.

Oak Valley Forward

At Oak Valley Hospital, we’re focused on more than just the present—we’re actively shaping the future of healthcare. Our commitment to progress means continuously seeking better ways to serve our patients through innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking solutions. We embrace the latest advancements in medical technology while never losing sight of what matters most: compassionate, patient-centered care. Every decision we make is guided by a deep responsibility to our community’s well-being—today and for generations to come. By blending cutting-edge science with a human touch, we’re building a healthier future, one patient at a time.

Community & Wellness Based

At Oak Valley Hospital, we recognize that expectations in healthcare are constantly evolving. Patients today seek more than just treatment—they expect personalized, seamless care that respects their time, values, and unique health needs. That’s why we are committed to staying at the forefront of patient care, continually investing in advanced medical technology, innovative practices, and ongoing staff training. But technology alone isn’t enough. We believe true healing happens when cutting-edge medicine is delivered with compassion, empathy, and human connection. From your first visit to every follow-up, our mission is to provide care that not only supports your physical well-being but also fosters trust, comfort, and confidence. At Oak Valley, your health is our priority—and your experience is our promise.
