The HIM Representative is responsible for multiple record processing and record retrieval tasks to ensure the accurate and timely retrieval and distribution of patient medical records for internal and external customers, Collects, maintains, and makes available to authorized users timely, accurate, and complete patient health information. Deals directly with the public by telephone and/or in person regarding requests to the Health Information Management Department.  Utilizes a working understanding of the clinical processes to achieve standard of care and documentation for the purpose of maintaining records for completeness.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Two years’ medical records experience
  • Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology
  • Understands proper telephone etiquette.
  • Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Able to enter data with accuracy.
  • Familiar with telephone etiquette and general office procedures

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
