Oak Valley Hospital District is currently seeking a dynamic Hospital Courier for our Lab department who will embrace our mission, vision, and values. This individual must have a passion for nursing excellence and be willing to provide outstanding patient and family supported care.

With a hospital and emergency department, skilled nursing facility, four healthcare clinics, occupational healthcare clinic, and an ambulance company, OVHD is well equipped to care of our incredible community.

Performs various duties associated with the clinical laboratory and hospital functions, which are of a technical and clerical nature.  These tasks encompass, but are not limited to, picking up and delivering specimens, processing specimens, telephone communication, filing, use of hospital/laboratory systems.  Demonstrates a willingness and ability to perform all assigned tasks.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma- required
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Accuracy in working with numbers
  • Must demonstrate the ability to handle people in diverse situations
  • California Drivers License
  • Lifts, positions, pushes up to 30 pounds
  • Considerable sitting, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
  • Touch, auditory and visual perception and acuity
  • Adequate vocal pitch and volume of voice
  • Manual dexterity and mobility
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in varying conditions (dark,rain,fog)

Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
