Licensed Vocational Nurse – Med-Surg, Nights

Oak Valley Hospital District is currently seeking a dynamic certified Licensed Vocational Nurse for our Med-Surg department who will embrace our mission, vision, and values. The Med-Surg Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and resources, and takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to Med-Surg population(s), to include, but not limited to, management of the post-operative patient, telemetry monitoring and infectious disease patients.

This position requires providing service to one or more age groups including ill children through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited LVN School of Nursing
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years’ experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Current California LVN license
• ACLS preferred
• Current BLS certification
