Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and timely accumulation of financial and statistical information in order to provide monthly, annual,and as needed financial statements and pro forma for the facility in accordance with GAAP and GASB. Work with other departments regarding revenue, expense, statistical capture, budgets and financial statements. Ensure the general ledgers for the hospital and affiliated organizations accurately represent their respective financial position through the preparation and use of appropriate analysis and reconciliations. Assists in the performance of other Accounting Department functions as required, including but not limited to Accounts payable and Payroll functions.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years of direct general accounting experience, including month end close, budget, audit and statement preparation, in an acute healthcare environment preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge in accounting, GAAP, GASB, budgeting, financial practices, business law and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to analyze and maintain general ledgers, trial balances, and financial statements
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to a specific subject area or function
  • Demonstrated experience with Excel, MS Word, and computerized automated accounting software systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to deal with staff, managers, executives and Board members
  • Able to perform advanced mathematical calculations 
  • Certified Public Accountant desirable

Exempt Salaried position pay: $90,000-$120,000 yearly
