OVHD’s discounted amounts under the Financial Assistance Policy are less than OVHD’s Amount Generally Billed. OVHD will limit charges to a patient eligible for Financial Assistance to the amount of payment the hospital would expect, in good faith, to receive for providing services from Medicare or Medi-Cal, whichever is greater.

How to Apply
In order to determine your eligibility for financial assistance, you will need to complete the free Financial Assistance Application and provide additional supporting documents. Access the Financial Assistance Application by using the link above. Additionally, it can be accessed in person at the Oak Valley Hospital Main Admitting Department, Emergency Department or Patient Financial Services Department* or by mail if requested by calling 209-848-5366. You must submit your Financial Assistance Application in person or by mail to the Patient Financial Services Department* at:

*Patient Financial Services Department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, except holidays.
HOSPITAL BILL COMPLAINT PROGRAM
The Hospital Bill Complaint Program is a state program, which reviews hospital decisions about whether you qualify for help paying your hospital bill. If you believe you were wrongly denied financial assistance, you may file a complaint with the Hospital Bill Complaint Program.
